The MBTA is introducing changes in there fare’s that aim to improve equity by expanding products for reduced fare riders and simplifying tariff rules.
 
The Changes will include:
 
· Permanent 5-Day FlexPasses on Commuter Rail
· Lower pricing for 1-Day LinkPasses
· A new 7-Day LinkPass for reduced fare riders
· Expanding Reduced Fare Monthly Passes to all modes
· Second transfers on bus and subway and transfers between Express Buses
 
If approved, these changes will go into effect by July 1, 2022.

They are hosting two public hearings
To share more information about these fare changes and hear feedback from the community.
 
The two hearings will be held on February 10th and February 17th, at 6pm.
