[Background information: Greater Ashmont Main Street entered search for a new Executive Director in September, as Jenn Cartee, our current ED, began winding down her five year tenure with our organization. We advertised the opening broadly, both in local and national outlets, and we had a sizable applicant pool, ultimately interviewing several passionate candidates. One candidate stood out as uniquely qualified and the Board made a unanimous decision to offer him the role, allowing Jenn to begin the onboarding process for him in early November. Unfortunately, and to our regret, our selected candidate had to withdraw for personal reasons. After reviewing the remaining applications on file and touching base with a few other applicants who had sent in materials later, the Hiring Committee has decided to re-open the process for another formal search.]
