Are you a handy woodworker with a creative streak?  Greater Ashmont Main Street is interested in commissioning someone to build a Little Free Library for our Boston Main Street District. The Little Free Library project’s mission is to inspire a love of reading, build community, and spark creativity through neighborhood book exchanges around the world.  Our Little Free Library It will be located in the newly revitalized Peabody Square West Plaza in front of the Ashmont Grill.  If we have more than one fabulous design submitted, we are open to sponsoring a second Little Free Library for another location TBD.  We are looking for a library designs that are reflective of a major landmark or characteristic of the Greater Ashmont area. For an example a library in the shape of Ashmont MBTA Station or the Mattapan Trolley, the Peabody Square Clock, an iconic three decker building, or anything else you associate with our neighborhood.  Interested?
