Congratulations to Ashmont Grill and owner/chef Chris Douglass, who took second-place honors in the Main Street District category of Mayor Menino’s annual garden contest! Chris devised an ingenious vertical garden using pallets filled with soil and held in place by burlap, and a built-in irrigation system. (For more photos, please see our Facebook page.)
