Stephanie Suryana joined the team in Summer of 2018. She's a recent Dorchester resident who has fallen in love with the neighborhood and loves using her skills to support the community.
I moved to Dorchester 4 years ago, and as a new neighbor, I was excited to learn about the neighborhood and meet my neighbors. I found myself at a neighborhood charrette about an upcoming project to improve a public space in the area and that is how I got involved with GAMS. Today, I co-chair the Beautification and Public Space committee and get to work with neighbors to envision what a clean, green, and vibrant neighborhood looks like for us.
I have come to know and love my neighborhood and value its healthy mix of small businesses. Greater Ashmont Main Streets ensures businesses in the area maintain their success and vitality by connecting residents, business owners and services to each other. Being a CPA, I know how daunting the financial element of ensuring success can be. I aid Greater Ashmont MS with tax filings, financial statement review, and similar tasks to ensure the continuing success of this organization. My contribution is a gratifying way to show support for an organization that does wonderful things for our community.
Jenn Cartee serves as Executive Director of Greater Ashmont. She is a long-time Dorchester resident, with experience in law and community organizing.

A Boston native, Keegan was plucked from the South End and raised in the Atlanta burbs. His parents raised him on stories of Boston's rich history - forced busing, friendships despite hardship, and communities overcoming racial divides to find peace and friendship. Keegan returned to his Boston roots 26 years later, eventually settling in Codman Square with his long time best friend and partner, Fabio Cacciapaglia. Keegan is the Customer Success Manager at Smartvid.io. He is excited to use his background in mathematics, engineering, and customer success and his love for art, community, fairness, and equality to bettering his community in the hope that it can come closer together.
Lynn Sanders lives on Monsignor Lydon Way. Her community involvement stems from a desire to maintain the affordability and character of the neighborhood through intentional development that minimizes displacement. Lynn is the Deputy Director for Special Projects in Mayor Walsh’s Office of Workforce Development, working on programs and policies that promote economic mobility by connecting residents to job training, post-secondary education, and financial resources. Since beginning her career as an AmeriCorps VISTA, Lynn has dedicated herself to public service in education, workforce, and community development. Lynn obtained her MPP in Social Policy from the Heller School at Brandeis University.
I am a big believer in building vibrant neighborhoods! As a small business owner of a family-owned, neighborhood pharmacy, I connect with residents and other business owners on a daily basis. I appreciate the important role Greater Ashmont Main Street plays in our neighborhood by providing a place where the whole neighborhood can work together to help shape and improve the place where we live and work.
Joy joined the team Spring of 2019 and enjoys using her skills in communication, community development, and design to Greater Ashmont Main Street.
